Bump It Up Walls and Learning Walls

Slide1 3

Visible Learning is the process of making learning intent clear for both teachers and students through clear learning goals, success criteria and a feedback/goal-setting cycle.

The use of learning walls, worked examples (or levelled work exemplars) and bump it up wall displays are all central to the visible learning approach.

It is an approach that we are passionate about at Teachie Tings!

  • Research-Based Classroom Practice

Visible learning works because it is based on extensive research and meta-analysis of education studies, which identify effective teaching and learning strategies.

  • Student Success Pedagogy

Visible Learning emphasises evidence-based pedagogies such as clear learning intentions, success criteria, formative assessment and feedback, and promoting collaboration.

  • Empowers Students and Teacher

Visible learning empowers students and teachers by making learning goals explicit, providing timely feedback, and fostering a culture of collective efficacy resulting in improved student achievement.
