Are you look for a fun way to immerse your students in the world of dinosaurs and fact finding for informative writing?
How about adopting their very own dinosaur? Your students will become the proud parents of their chosen dinosaur and are tasked with completing their baby dino’s baby book!
They will need to complete information about their dino’s appearance, size, diet, location and more! BUT, they get to do it in this fun and creative format!

- 8-page dino baby book – use some or all!
- 6 different dinosaurs
- blank page for students to add their own creative ideas.
I’m not going to lie – I borrowed this idea from my own 5th grade teacher (waaaay back in the 80s. Hi, Miss Irving!). It was one of my most memorable school activities, and I think it will be one of your students’ favourites too!
