Your students will LOVE practising their skip-counting using these fun chatterboxes/cootie-catchers!
Â
They will even want to play with them at lunch!
Â
Skip counting chatterboxes are the perfect way to consolidate skip counting.
Â
You can use as a stand-alone activity, or as part of a maths centre. I love to introduce them as a whole class, and then incorporate into maths rotations.
I’m not even kidding – your students will want to take them into the playground or home! The learning will continue outside of the classroom – brilliant!
Â
Two templates are included:
Â
By the end of grade 1: Skip Counting in 2s, 5s, and 10s.
By the end of grade 2: Skip Counting in 2s, 3s, 5s, and 10s.
Â
If you are teaching grade two, you can start with the first template and introduce 3s later in the year.
Â
Students have opportunities to practise skip counting, solving number sentences, and completing ‘challenges’.
Â
Print and cut to play – instructions are included.
